Maximizing Comfort with Bench Seating

You’re probably not thinking about benches when thinking about the most comfortable seat you’ve ever sat on. And it’s true! Bench seating is not likely to feel as though you’re sitting on a fluffy cloud. However, that doesn’t mean you have to accept discomfort. With Interkal’s options for benches, comfort is already built in.


Using intuitive engineering and design, benches don’t have to be a downside when guests come to your venue. They can keep your spectators just as comfortable when they take a seat at your event. 

How Can Bench Seating Be Comfortable?

Benches may be the gold standard of spectator seating, but that doesn’t mean they have to be basic. A prime example of comfort in bench seating is our POLARIS Multi-Purpose Seat. It’s a unique combination of both bench and chair, giving you the ease of regular bleachers with the comfort of a full seat. 


Not only does the basic POLARIS seat come contoured to perfectly fit any size and shape, but with the addition of armrests and a backrest, guests are able to experience superior comfort. The backrest has the perfect elasticity and lumbar support to keep your patrons happy. 


While the POLARIS is impressive, it’s not all there is. Interkal has both the Excel Seat Module (ESM) and Contour Seat Module (CSM) to choose from for telescopic systems. 


The ESM is anatomically contoured and has a comfortable 18" width. The 16-1/2" seat height helps with spectator comfort  as well as a contoured front for added leg room.


The CSM provides an angled waterfall style design that allows for more leg room. The 18” wide seat also allows for greater comfort without sacrificing a sleek design that’s perfect for any school gymnasium.


Best of all, both the ESM and CSM - and the POLARIS as well, increasing its customization options - can have the ComfoBack Automatic Backrest System added for even more support.

Even the Classics are Designed for Comfort

Even the most traditional of Interkal’s products, the Classic Wood Bench Seating, has comfort manufactured in. Using finger jointed construction on the boards results in greater strength and durability across the row span, while still allowing flex to remain comfortable. Each bench is triple sanded and sealed on all sides to keep everything smooth and safe. It’s a classic for a reason.
